Whiskey Media Raises $2.5M

Sausalito-based Whiskey Media, a startup headed by CNET co-founder Shelby Bonnie, has raised $2.5M in an investment round, according to a regulatory filingThe firm said the funding is a family and "close friends" round, and will go to launch more sites and hire more people for the company.
Whiskey Media operates ComicVine, AnimeVice, and GiantBomb, three online community and information web sites.
