Okay, I think we're ready - we made one last trip to the grocery store for fresh fruit and veggies today and now everything is stowed or bungied down The plan is to leave tomorrow morning (Sat.) to head for home.

Actually, we will be heading north - a little beyond the latitude of San Francisco (we're going to aim at 40, San Fran is 38) to get up and around the "Pacific High," a high pressure system that is always present off the coast of California.

There is no wind in the middle of the high, so we can't head straight from point A to point B - one of those silly sailing things! :) Glen's been keeping good track of where the high has been sitting, so we think we'll be able to go up and around then back down the other side of the high (high pressure systems rotate clockwise in the northern hemisphere) in about 3 weeks.

If the high moves much to the north, it may take us a bit longer, but we are hoping that it actually will move south and shorten the trip for us.
