Fox News reports that Portland police have reopened an investigation into allegations that former Vice President Al Gore attempted to sexually assault a massage therapist in 2006. Al Gore is emphatically denying the allegations. USA Today reports that Kalee Kreider, a Gore family spokesperson, issued the following statement on Al Gore's behalf:
"Further investigation into this matter will only benefit Mr. Gore. The Gores cannot comment on every defamatory, misleading, and inaccurate story generated by tabloids. Mr. Gore unequivocally and emphatically denied this accusation when he first learned of its existence three years ago. He stands by that denial."
