Ok it's the 9th anniversary of 911It makes you think when your flying on a planeI've been up since 4:30 and am now riding on the shuttle to Vancouver and the start of my next adventure I left Steamboat at 6:00am with John the owner of the house I am staying in and his trusty dog Tilly.

John needed a ride to Denver to pick up his van that he will drive back to Hilton Head in a couple of weeksTilly just came along for the rideAt one point the thermometer in my truck said it was 17 degrees outside.

It's September 11thWay to early to be this coldIt never got above 34 degrees the whole way to Denver After dropping John and Tilly off I headed to CU to pick up Hunt so he could drop me at the airport and take my truck back to our storage spot in Boulder.

I was a little concerned that Hunt would not be up at 9:15am on a Saturday morning so I gave him a quick call and he answered a little groggy but he was upApparently he has been sick for a day and was feeling a little under the weather.(not whiskey flu but the real flu) .

Got to the airport with 2 hrs to spare...just the way I like it A very uneventful wait to get on the planeAll went wellAlthough I did feel like there was a somber mood in the airport...being that it was the anniversary of 911.

The security guards seemed friendlier and the airport seemed quieter
