Akupara: New Settee
9/13/2010
After lots of planning and hard work (and many, many trips into Guaymas to find supplies), we finally have a new settee! Now we have a nice place to store some of our provisions, and any guests who come aboard will have a comfy place to sit.
We couldn't have done it without help from the very nice (and extremely patient) people at the lumber yard and the hardware store, so here's a big "Gracias" to Ruth at Tecnocretos de Guaymas! We've gotten much better at shopping in Mexico over the last week.
With a little broken Spanish and a lot of gesturing and pointing, we're confident we could buy just about anything We went to Guaymas again this afternoon to pick out the pillows as a finishing touch to our new settee.
The only thing that remains is a piece of half-round trim and a coat of varnish
