S/V Tender Spirit: Ocean Cruising
9/28/2010
The weather has been great today, even if we have slowed down a bunchEasterly winds in the 4-10 knot rangeWe've managed to keep the sails drawing and making progress in the 3.0 to 4.0 knot rangeI had a large fish on.
Fought it for about 1/2 hour and lost itThat was a good thing as we can't handle anything that largeIt snapped the hook in half like a toothpickWe'll try again tomorrow for something smaller! All is well on board.
We should be crossing the equator in the wee hours of the morning or later depending on the wind situationWe have 163 miles to go.
