10/31/10 Happy Halloween (belated to everyone) We went down Alligator River and anchored in Campbell Creek off of Goose Creek It is a bit tricky to get into There are shallows on each side that are unmarked.

Mike set a waypoint into the GPS for halfway between the 2 markers outside the entrance and then using the paper chart figured out what our magnetic compass heading should be to miss the shallows Then we also had our magnetic course for a safe exit.

Skipper Bob is right there are a ton of mosquitoes in Campbell Creek I could hear them buzzing outside most of the night We put the screens in and stayed inside all night "Slip Away" a boat that was tied up next to us came in shortly after we dropped the hook.

They have a large golden retriever named Schooner When they were bringing him to shore to go the bathroom they stopped by and dropped off some fresh baked corn muffins Just an update I have now made 2 batches of cookies trying to return the favor and drop some off to them but each time "Slip Away" has disappeared in the am even though they say they will be here for a few days or they have not answered the radio.

Oh well more cookies for Mike and I Here is a picture of Joshua in his Tigger costume I will bring it home so he can wear it on Thanksgiving for you all to see.
