We crossed back over to the western hemisphere early this morningWe will only be here for a day or so before we curve gradually to the southern part of fijiThis will keep us well in the center and away from other atolls and reefs.

All is well on boardwe have about 570 miles leftLight winds continue to keep our progress slow, but very niceThe weather has been stellar so far, and we are hoping it stays this wayIt was so calm earlier that I could see the constellations reflected on the water, that is until the moon rose and the stars faded out.

It is an absolutely beautiful nightNot a cloud in the sky, and with the bright moonlight, seems like dayThe wind is blowing just enough to keep the sails filled....mostlyWe have a reef in the main for the night.

I'm tempted to shake it out, but know betterIt seems like there are always a couple of squalls in the middle of the night and we would rather go slow than to have to mess around on deck at the last minute to reef.

We are coasting along at 3 knotsIt looks like we may have finally left the west setting current behind usThe sure made some slow going in light wind!
