The company is growing rapidly and acquired Sprout last month to build out its HTML5 offeringsInMobi, the self-proclaimed “largest independent mobile ad network” in the world, has just received an impressive $200 million cash infusion from Softbank Corp., which owns Yahoo Japan along with a number of other properties. The funding will be divided between two installments, the first $100 million in September and the second $100 million in April 2012. In the company’s announcement, InMobi says that the new financing will bolster its mobile payments arm, SmartPay, as well as support innovation in HTML5 rich media production and distribution. To that end, InMobi acquired HTML5 rich media authoring platform Sprout last month.
