Bill DeWeese, Pennsylvania State Lawmaker, Tries To Work Around Corruption Conviction

HARRISBURG, Pa. -- A Pennsylvania lawmaker who's been convicted on corruption charges says he'll step down when he is sentenced, but he's hoping to delay the proceeding so he can run for re-election.

Rep. Bill DeWeese told The Associated Press on Wednesday he will resign upon sentencing, now scheduled for April 24 – primary election day.
