Things went very smooth this morning as we slipped out of your slip and moved down to the fuel dock to fuel up and check out of Brunswick Landing MarinaWe’ll probably only be gone a couple of months this year and this is a great place to return to.

The weather looks good for an offshore jump to Fernandina/StMary’s and it’s important that we be at a place to watch Duke and Carolina playWe have our priorities! We headed out StSimon’s channel with only a couple of hiccups – remote mike in the cockpit wasn’t transmitting- just a short that fixed itself and we have a handheld and one below.- halyard wrapped around the front of the mast and snagged on the steaming light- this happens whenever I connect the halyard and forget to snug it down- just took a little fiddling.

Everything was uneventful as Seeker motorsailed the 40 miles down the coastWhen the seas are nice this is so much better than the ICW especially the Jekyll Creek stretchWe picked up a mooring at Fernandina, had a celebratory beverage and went ashore for showers, dinner and most important BASKETBALL! We hung out at the Irish Pub with a huge screen and big room to ourselves where could clap and scream and cry at will.

What a game!! Last second shot by Rivers for Duke to win and as my friend Lorraine said Epic!
